What reading glasses do I need?
Not sure how well you can read with glasses? We offer an online vision test.
Test your vision in the comfort of your home and choose the reading glasses that are right for you.

Generally speaking, if the distance at which you can see the fingerprint of your index finger (near point) is more than 30cm, you need to wear reading glasses.

Judge by your own age (roughly measure the degree of presbyopia)

*The estimated age is the generally accepted average age. Please view this page for reference only.
*The near distance at which reading glasses are needed varies from person to person.
To know your exact vision, you need to have an eye exam, but this exam will show you how to use the near point distance to check if you need reading glasses and the recommended power for your purpose.

Easily done with just your fingertips! Near point distance check (more accurate measurement method)

1) First, place your index finger in front of your eyes with the tip of your index finger pointing as shown above.
2) Then, move your index finger farther and farther away from you.

3) The point where the index finger print is clearly visible (in focus) is your "peripheral point".
